Covid-19 Information

A full Risk Assessment has now been carried out on the Church building and necessary steps taken to ensure that appropriate controls are in place so that, as far as is possible, our church is Covid-Secure.

St Columba church continues to remain open for funeral services.

In the meantime:-

  1. We are continuing to review guidance from the government and Church of England about the possible opening our building and will update this page when the risks have been fully assessed and it is deemed safe and appropriate to do so.

The government advice is to:

Stay at Home, Protect the NHS and Save Lives by washing handswearing a mask and keeping at least 2 metres apart.

It is essential that we follow this advice:

  • Stay at home
  • Work from home if you can
  • No social contact with other people outside your household
  • Keep your distance if you go out (2 metres apart where possible)
  • Wash your hands regularly
  • Do not leave home if you or anyone in your household has symptoms

Please do not leave home if you or somone you live with has any of the following:

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste
